OpenAI reportedly removes `result_source` from ChatGPT payload after format change
lilyraynyc · x · 2026-07-22
OpenAI has reportedly pushed two changes to the ChatGPT pipeline in under 24 hours, including a response format change and the removal of resultsource from the payload.
That means developers can no longer inspect parts of the retrieval path such as Bing, Labrador, and other sources that previously appeared in the data. The post argues the visibility was probably temporary, but the removal still hurts debugging and analysis.
