Author Glen Weyl points out that AI alignment is a two-sided problem. Enormous effort goes into making AI capable and aligning it with human values, yet almost none into preparing our institutions to absorb it.
He emphasizes that even a perfectly aligned AI system will fail in a society that isn't ready for it.
