FuturingRobot raises nearly RMB 1 billion in a Pre-A round as home robots move toward commercialization

FuturingRobot, a household general-purpose robot startup, said it has closed a Pre-A round bringing total funding to nearly RMB 1 billion. New investors include Source Capital, Lianxin Capital, Boyu Venture Capital, Hillhouse-backed industrial investor Inovance, Guojin Capital, and several others. It is the company’s third financing round in about six months.

The company is betting on the much harder consumer home scenario rather than industrial automation. It says its robots have already been deployed in 500+ homes, accumulated 50,000+ service hours, and reached 96.8% user satisfaction. Its current business model is RaaS, with a monthly rental price of about RMB 4,500 and a rent-to-own path.

Why the round matters

The investor mix is shifting from purely financial backers to more industrial and consumer-capable capital. FuturingRobot argues that home robots need not only AI capability, but also supply-chain cost control, reliability, and post-sale service to scale beyond pilot deployments.
