Codex desktop users report project history disappearing after a setup reset

A user says a Codex desktop task returned a generic error, then after restarting the app was forced through setup again and all existing Codex projects showed “No chats.”
The app’s own investigation suggests a local migration or indexing failure: the task metadata still exists, but the transcript files are missing from their recorded paths.
