Codex threads silently drop queued messages in version 26.715.31925

Codex message queue requests are silently ignored in some threads
A user reports that in version 26.715.31925, some Codex threads stop accepting queue submissions: pressing Queue or Enter does nothing, and the message is neither recorded nor rejected with an error.
The report includes screenshots and notes that the problem appears while using an SSH connection from a Mac desktop app to a Linux box. The user expects queued messages to be added normally, but the app silently drops the request.
