A creator open-sourced a "story to hand-drawn video" skill that turns a Chinese story, or an ordered set of local images, into a hand-drawn diary-style animation.
- It splits the story into shots while trying to preserve the original wording and narrative rhythm.
- Each frame gets handwritten subtitles.
- The visuals can transition from black-and-white line art to full color.
- It outputs a silent MP4 designed for later voice-over and editing.
- Two transitions are supported: a direct reveal and a page-turn effect.
- The workflow also tries to avoid over-cropping by keeping artwork inside a safe border.
- Final output is 3:4 vertical video, with 1080×1440 for the full version and 720×960 for previews.
The author says it uses Image2 for storyboard generation and Remotion for animation/rendering.
