Claude CLI tip: show the session ID so you can move context between sessions
KirkNewcombe · x · 2026-07-22
A Claude CLI workflow tip suggests adding the session ID to the bottom of the CLI so it can be copied into another running session.
- The author describes using two Claude sessions in the same project at once.
- When one agent discovers something useful, the session ID lets the user quickly transfer that context to the other session.
- The idea is to move context across sessions without always writing everything into documentation files.
