Private Hugging Face LoRA works in Comfy Cloud UI, but API runs fail
jj2446 · reddit · 2026-07-22
A Comfy Cloud user reports that a private LoRA imported from a private Hugging Face repo works in the canvas but fails every time through the API.
- UI/canvas generation succeeds after the LoRA appears in the Model Library.
- API runs fail during validation with loraname value ... was not found in the bundled node index, and then also error at execution.
- Public/community LoRAs work fine through the same API calls, so the issue seems specific to the private HF import path.
- The user suspects this is a rough edge in Comfy Cloud’s newer bring-your-own-LoRA support rather than a problem with their setup, and is looking for a workaround.
