Devin Launches Outposts: Run the AI Agent on Any Custom Machine
AAAzzam · x · 2026-07-22
Cognition's AI software engineer Devin has announced the launch of Outposts. This feature allows users to run Devin on any custom computing environment, including Mac minis, lab GPU boxes, VMs inside private networks, or internal Kubernetes clusters.
By partnering with the cloud platform Modal, Outposts provides Devin with fast-booting, elastic, GPU-backed sandboxes. This enables the AI agent to have its own tailored and controlled devbox, exactly like a human engineer needs.
