Long Context Fail: Models Spiral into Infinite Loops Generating Nonsense
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-07-22
Developer tests reveal severe degradation in models handling long contexts. One model spiraled into a logical loop over 180K tokens, continuously generating nonsense to prove a meaningless conclusion, while another completely lost coherence and 'consciousness' during the loop. This exposes the underlying stability risks of current LLMs when processing ultra-long texts.
