Google’s Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite is being positioned as the company’s smallest and fastest Gemini model.
According to the quoted announcement, it is often more intelligent than Gemini 3, matches the cost of Gemini 2.5 Flash while being smarter, and outperforms 3.1 Flash-Lite on most use cases. The same post also says Gemini 2.5 Flash is approaching end of life.
