Krea2 users find a 4-step Raw plus 4-step Turbo workflow that preserves quality
PropagandaOfTheDude · reddit · 2026-07-21
A Krea2 user reports a practical workaround for better image quality without losing too much variety:
- Run four steps with Raw using CFG 3.0 and a negative prompt.
- Pass the noisy latent into four steps with Turbo using CFG 1.0.
The hybrid keeps more pose variety than pure Turbo while preserving details like glow and lighting that Turbo-only generations tend to wash out. The author tests it on multiple seeds, an illustration plate, and a photographic prompt, and says the same approach works across styles.
There is a tradeoff: runtime increases by at least 50% because of extra model data movement in and out of VRAM. Scheduler choice matters too — early-noise-removal schedulers like exponential or karras leave too little room for Turbo, while late-removing ones like linearquadratic make the result look too much like Turbo. The author suspects the simple scheduler may work with even more Raw steps.
