A reverse-engineering post suggests OpenAI is testing a separate lightweight ChatGPT web app for logged-out users, internally called unauth-mweb.
According to the findings, the app does not load the full ChatGPT client. Instead, it uses a dedicated experiment router, its own asset bundle, page structure, and endpoint family. Responses stream as ready-to-display HTML through declarative partial updates, and the client checks worker-version compatibility so it can upgrade an open page when needed.
The likely product goal is a faster anonymous chat experience with simpler state handling.
