Microsoft expands Mistral partnership across Azure and Copilot
Microsoft and Mistral AI said they are expanding their partnership to bring Mistral’s frontier models to Azure, Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio, and Azure Local.
The pitch is that European customers should be able to use capable AI models without giving up control over their data, operations, or digital future. Microsoft frames the deal as a trusted foundation for AI deployment, combining frontier capability with more control over where and how the models run.
