An intern says 1M tokens still do not make agent handoffs obsolete

An intern argues that a senior teammate is wrong to assume a 1M-token context window makes scoped handoffs unnecessary.
The workflow in question starts from a product website, researches similar products on marketplaces, turns that into product facts and competitor notes, and then builds a content strategy. The intern worries that even if everything fits in context, later stages will still be polluted by raw research, rejected directions, intermediate reasoning, and old drafts.
They say their own demo agent worked better when each stage started a fresh sub-agent with only a short brief, the relevant decisions, and the previous stage’s output. The post asks whether larger context windows have really changed how much context management people still need.
