Analysts are trying to translate AI demand into a concrete forecast for chips, equipment, and datacenter capacity.

A Bernstein-led note argues that the datacenter pipeline has expanded to about 338 GW, up roughly 217 GW YoY, and that capacity plans are growing much faster than active capacity. The piece also highlights the uncertainty: how much of the compute demand is truly real, and how much will later be scaled back or abandoned. Chip names such as $MU, $NVDA, and $LITE are framed as the main beneficiaries.
