Anthropic reaches $1.5B copyright settlement over Claude training data

Anthropic has agreed to a $1.5 billion settlement in a copyright lawsuit brought by authors who said their books were misused to train Claude.
Reuters says the deal is the largest known settlement of its kind, making this a major legal milestone for the AI industry.
