This Figma MCP bridge exports real assets into your repo without API tokens or rate limits

A new Figma MCP setup connects Claude or other MCP clients to a Figma Desktop plugin through a local bridge, avoiding API tokens and rate limits.
- It exports the real assets from Figma instead of guessing icons as inline SVGs.
- It supports multiple Figma files and multiple code projects at the same time.
- The agent can pull SVG/PNG/JPG assets into the right repo, import repo images back into Figma, and follow rules defined once in CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, or .cursorrules.
- The tool also reads design tokens, renames assets in bulk, and can screenshot its own work to iterate.
The author notes one open question: the shared bridge currently uses a fixed port (2000).
