Why AI action images still look static unless pose, motion and camera angle all work together
Jaded-Term-8614 · reddit · 2026-07-21
The post argues that a still image feels dynamic only when three layers work together:
- Subject movement — dynamic poses, twisting bodies, flowing hair and clothes.
- Environmental movement — motion blur, debris, sparks, water, and dust.
- Camera movement — low angles, foreshortening, Dutch angles, and strong perspective.
The author says that a “dynamic pose” alone often isn’t enough; if the background and camera still feel static, the image reads like a posed photo. For complex poses, they find OpenPose/ControlNet more reliable than prompt-only control.
