Stanford study links age-related decline to failed immune cleanup in aged mice

Stanford researchers found that age-related decline is partly driven by tissue-resident macrophages losing the ability to clear senescent neutrophils. They showed that blocking the inflammatory EP2 receptor restored this cleanup process in aged mice, reduced inflammation, and preserved the function of multiple organs.
