Grok regresses on a simple account-listing task, then keeps repeating the same names

The author says Grok has regressed noticeably in a simple browsing-style task: it could first produce a decent list of left-of-center news/commentary accounts, but once asked to filter by recent activity it got stuck repeating the same names and apologizing instead of generating new suggestions.
The post argues that this is especially strange in “Expert” mode and suggests xAI’s attention may have shifted toward coding models rather than general assistant quality.
