TRU-FACT is a graph-based method that aligns cells across in vivo neural activity imaging and spatial transcriptomics at scale.

The post says the work is a finalist in the 2026 BRAIN Initiative Photo & Video Contest and highlights its use in mice with conventional, mesoscope, GRIN-lens, or miniature two-photon imaging paired with HCR-FISH or MERFISH. The goal is a scalable pipeline for image alignment and cell registration in multimodal neuroscience.
