AMD’s ROCm stack now has a lightweight Python build system called TheRock — a focused replacement for the old monolithic setup.
- The project has about 1.1K stars and is 85% Python, with CMake underneath.
- It aims to make cross-platform HIP builds easier and is AMD-supported.
