Fable 5 switches to usage credits
A Reddit post questions whether clicking “Claim free credits” could expose users to unexpected billing later. The screenshot shows the product notice: Fable 5 now runs on usage credits, with $100 USD in free credits offered to keep using it without interruption.
The notice says Fable 5 had been included in plans as a promotion until July 19, and now requires usage credits. Claiming the credits enables usage credits on the account so they are ready to use, including when a plan limit is hit. The free credits expire on September 17, and the original poster later notes that auto-reload is off by default, retracting the initial criticism.
