Open-Source Library GBrain Launches: Set Up Dedicated AI Agent Memory in Minutes

Y Combinator President Garry Tan shared and recommended GBrain, a free open-source retrieval library. The project is designed to provide contextual memory for AI agents and currently powers his personal company brain and AI assistant.
GBrain is highly compatible; while recommended for use with Hermes Agent and OpenClaw, it also works with tools like Codex and Claude Code. To lower the barrier to entry, a hosted version is available, allowing users to launch a dedicated AI brain on a separate server in minutes without complex configurations.
