Emad says frontier open-weight models now come only from China

There are no frontier open-weight models outside China, and the US/EU have little incentive to build one because the cost is high and value capture is low.
The author adds that there are solid mid-tier models, but nothing close to Kimi K3 or GLM-5.2 in the frontier open-weights class.
