Investor calls SAFE-adjusted MOIC a totally absurd metric

An investor says some LPs have asked for SAFE-adjusted MOIC, but after working through the math, he thinks the metric is totally absurd.
He explains the motivation: SAFEs are increasingly used to delay priced equity rounds, so people want a quantitative way to show early portfolio progress. But he argues that SAFE-adjusted MOIC still misses the mark, even if it may become more common.
