AI teams are heading toward an “it works on my AI” problem
DavidWells · x · 2026-07-21
Everyone is wiring up their own MCPs, custom rules, and local AI tooling right now, but that is creating a new kind of silo: each machine ends up with its own context and memory stack.
The author argues the industry is heading toward an "it works on my AI" problem unless teams standardize agents, skills, prompts, and context layers as infra-as-code that can plug into multiple downstream clients. The message: companies should bake their AI primitives in now, before everyone gets locked into bespoke personal setups.
