OpenAI compute chief Sachin Katti says the scaling laws for research and training still hold, and that research is speeding up because AI is now doing a lot of AI research.
He adds that every time people think they have enough compute to slow down, reality proves otherwise — a blunt signal that demand for compute keeps expanding.
