Anthropic appears to be raising Claude Sonnet 5 pricing on September 1, 2026.
According to the pricing table shown in the Claude Platform docs, all major rates go up by 50%:
- Input tokens: $2 → $3 / MTok
- 5m cache writes: $2.50 → $3.75 / MTok
- 1h cache writes: $4 → $6 / MTok
- Cache hits and refreshes: $0.20 → $0.30 / MTok
- Output tokens: $10 → $15 / MTok
