An AI transformation consultant shares observations on the hurdles of enterprise AI adoption. In smaller companies, decision-makers are close to the product and can quickly push forward AI implementations, such as deploying agents to query meeting transcripts.
However, in large enterprises, executives often exhibit an 'AI psychosis': despite overseeing massive revenue, they rarely use tools like ChatGPT or Claude Code themselves. Exhausted by the tech wave, many choose to coast along or wait for severance. Furthermore, knowledgeable employees often find that sharing AI insights only leads to frustrating meetings with clueless executives and zero personal upside, so they stay silent.
