Challengescape maps real AI-for-science problems
CatAstro_Piyush · x · 2026-07-21
A new **Challengescape** map is being built as a living directory of AI-for-science problems. - The point is to bridge a common gap in research: professors and domain experts know which problems matter, but they have limited time; students and outside researchers have the time, but not always the judgment to pick the right problems. - The project collects **120+ real problems** and possible solution directions so others can take them on, while still getting help from the original labs and professors. - It is backed by **Pillar**, powered by **ARIA**, and framed as a way to help people make a meaningful impact without needing years of experience in a field first.
