AI will be a tool behind the 2030 Fields Medal

The author says they are very excited about recent progress in formal mathematics and is confident that the 2030 Fields Medal will go to a human — but one who will obviously have used AI as a tool.
It’s a short prediction about how AI may change high-level math research: humans will still be the ones recognized, but AI will increasingly sit behind the breakthroughs as an enabling tool.
