Feyer Labs has been founded as an AI lab focused on automatically discovering new industrial hardware, and it has secured €3 million in non-dilutive funding from the Next Frontier AI Challenge run by SPRIND.

The competition is structured in stages: stage 1 selects 10 teams out of 530 competitors and provides €3M for 6 months, followed by potential stage 2 (€8M for 8 months) and stage 3 (€15.5M for 9 months). The goal is to produce several unicorns within 24 months.

The team says it has spent more than a decade building AI systems that autonomously design physical experiments and technologies, spanning quantum systems, microscopes, gravitational-wave detectors, laser technologies, microchip production, and energy-sector applications. Feyer now aims to bring that technology into industrial use in Europe.
