AI and the Future of Mathematics as a Profession

Alex Kontorovich says he strongly disagrees with Jacob Tsimerman’s claim that AI may make mathematics no longer a profession. He argues the profession will change a lot, but not disappear, and says he will try to lay out his case more precisely later.
The post is essentially a reaction to a quoted interview remark in which Tsimerman suggested AI could end mathematics as a profession.
