AMD and Microsoft are expanding their strategic partnership across GPUs, CPUs, networking, and software on Azure. Key points: - Microsoft will deploy AMD Helios Rackscale to power frontier-model inference for Microsoft, its AI customers, and Azure AI services. - Azure will add two new AMD EPYC Venice VM families. - AMD Pensando DPUs will be used in Azure networking infrastructure and select services. - AMD says Helios shipments to customers, including Microsoft, start in the second half of 2026. The broader goal is to give Azure customers more performance, scale, and choice for training and inference workloads.
