Neuroscience is increasingly shaping the AGI conversation

It’s encouraging to see neuroscience perspectives entering mainstream AGI discourse.
The post argues that:
- continual learning in AI can still draw a lot from the brain and from hypotheses about how the brain may work;
- AI can also help us understand the mind/brain better;
- at this stage, biological systems still clearly outperform machines in adaptive, self-repairing, self-creating capabilities.
It contrasts two futures: a worst case where we race toward a vastly more powerful, unconscious brute optimizer, and a better case where AI and neuroscience mutually inform each other, preserving some sense of life’s “flame” before AI becomes far beyond human control.
The author also asks for more neuroscience/bio interviews relevant to AGI building.
