Garry Tan says GBrain is a free, open-source retrieval library he gives away for building a “personal company brain” and personal AI.
- It works best with Hermes Agent and OpenClaw, but can also be used with Codex and Claude Code.
- The core idea is to give the LLM the right books or documents for the task at hand, rather than stuffing everything into context.
- He describes it as especially useful when context is large and personal.
