LLM Agents for User-Governed Personalization

Researchers from 13 universities propose user-governed personalization: instead of each platform personalizing from its own silo, a standard LLM agent can reason over a user's exported data across apps and offline sources.
The approach lets the agent combine cross-platform context into recommendations. In their results, users armed with this unified data and an off-the-shelf LLM agent already outperform single-platform personalization baselines.
