Siemens Unveils Industrial AI Agent Eigen
智东西 · wechat · 2026-07-20
At WAIC, Siemens launched Eigen, an AI agent designed for industrial automation engineering, and premiered its industrial AI orchestration software IntelligenceCenterX in China.
The article emphasizes that industrial scenarios require AI not just to "answer questions," but to be "flawless and deliverable." Eigen has been validated on actual production lines in over 19 countries and hundreds of global enterprises, covering the entire engineering pipeline: project comprehension, PLC code writing and testing, hardware and network configuration, HMI page generation, drive parameter setup, document understanding, and deployment. Measured results include: reducing the time to batch modify 66 program blocks from 6 minutes to 1.5 minutes, and cutting the analysis and documentation of 200 lines of SCL code from 35 minutes to 11 minutes. In a Prism Systems case study, functional module development was slashed from 20 minutes to under 1 minute.
IntelligenceCenterX is positioned as a one-stop platform expanding AI from Q&A to manufacturing scenario scheduling, execution, and governance. Through examples in food, automotive, hospitality, glass manufacturing, and pricing, Siemens aims to evolve industrial AI from an "engineer's assistant" to an "AI employee," ultimately forming a scalable industrial AI system.
