The Bigger Problem in the AI Era Is People

This long post discusses the view: We don't lack information; the real problem is that more and more people are losing their own sense of direction amid overwhelming recommendations, algorithms, and AI acceleration. AI can help organize knowledge and speed up thinking, but "faster" doesn't mean "clearer". If humans have no direction, tools only amplify confusion. The author believes the key issue in the AI era is not "what AI can do", but "what kind of people we become when using AI". What needs rebuilding is the connection between humans and their own goals and values, not just chasing the next step suggested by external systems.
