AI R&D Spend Must Yield Product Revenue, Moat or Not

Challenging the idea that independent AI labs are spending far more on R&D than cloud providers, Ryan Adams offers a different perspective. He argues that these massive R&D investments must eventually be recouped through product revenue. Even if frontier labs no longer maintain a strong moat, the inherent value of these AI products will not be diminished.
