Multi-Model SVG Animation Generation Comparison

A developer conducted a horizontal test of mainstream models using a highly challenging task: asking the models to generate a detailed, perfectly looping CSS-animated SVG (a seagull skateboarding and tossing a starfish) in a single HTML file. All tests were visually verified using Playwright.
Model Performance Reviews:
- Haiku 4.5: Chaotic output; the seagull was floating, skateboard wheels were flying off, and the starfish was barely visible.
- Sonnet 5: Performed slightly better, but the seagull's wing movements were unnatural, and there were no leg movements while skating.
- Opus 4.8: The most logically coherent overall, but the seagull's legs detached from its body when pushing the skateboard, accompanied by a weird starfish trajectory.
- Fable 5: The most stunning details (it opened its mouth when throwing the starfish) with normal leg movements, but the sailboat and fence in the background had floating or disappearing bugs.
- GPT-5.5: The worst performance; extremely low animation frame rate (around 10-15 FPS), completely misaligned movements, and it even generated three legs. Additional prompts failed to improve the result.
