Opinion: Current AI Far From Human Intelligence, Avoid Overregulation

The author argues that current AI technology is still dozens of orders of magnitude away from true human intelligence. Given this massive technological gap, no regulatory restrictions should be imposed on AI development. Furthermore, regulating the use of AI to create and distribute illegal content is an entirely separate issue from regulating the underlying AI technology itself.
