Ex-OpenAI Staff: External Pressure Stifles Public Debate in Frontier Labs

He stated that during his tenure, he never faced internal pressure to alter his views; instead, the immense pressure came from the outside. He believes both companies and society would benefit immensely if frontier labs could embrace and protect open discourse of independent voices, but the current climate makes public "sense-making" extremely difficult.
