DeepMind Uses AI to Reconstruct Pelé's Historic Goal

To celebrate the World Cup final, the Google DeepMind team shared a recent project where they successfully reconstructed Pelé's legendary goal (Gol da Rua Javari) from a 1959 match using the Gemini Omni and Veo models.
As one of the greatest goals in history was never captured on camera, it has now been brought back to life through the video generation capabilities of multimodal AI.
