Sharpa Robotics showcased its solution for the challenge of dual-arm 63-DoF teleoperation, combining a hardware exoskeleton with AI models:
- Hardware & Perception: Uses the SharpaWave 22-DoF dexterous hand equipped with force feedback and tactile sensing.
- AI-Assisted Operation: Introduces a VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model to handle complex maneuvers like "in-hand rotation," which operators can trigger via foot pedals.
- Tactile Data Fusion: Employs a hybrid dexterous expert model to fuse tactile data. Interestingly, while tactile info didn't help much with end-to-end apple slicing, it significantly improved the stability of grasping and insertion tasks.
