Chinese Open-Source AI Tools Ease Academic Compute Anxiety

As a follow-up to the discussion on compute bottlenecks, the author points out that thanks to the ecosystem of Chinese open-source AI tools, researchers can far better maximize the performance of existing GPUs. Without these tools, many ordinary students would simply be unable to build the skills required by frontier labs.
