FDEs Seen as Model Companies' Open Strategy
dotey · x · 2026-07-19
This post describes FDE as an open strategy for model companies: first using humans to help enterprises deploy Agents and sell Tokens, then consolidating enterprise knowledge into Skills, and ultimately internalizing it back into the model's capabilities.
The author further predicts that in the future, companies will either use AI to boost efficiency and expand, or resort to cost-cutting layoffs. For software engineers, those who understand AI will enjoy a temporary buffer period, but in the long run, every industry will be reshaped by AI.
