Tencent Appstore Highlights Marvis and Tuya

During WAIC, Tencent Appstore revealed the latest progress on its agent product Marvis and AI app generation tool Tuya.

Marvis is not a general-purpose Q&A assistant, but an "operational agent" for PCs, MiniPCs, NAS, and other devices, focusing on perceiving and controlling local files, apps, and system states. The team emphasizes shifting complex planning to the cloud while executing high-frequency local tasks on-device to reduce latency, Token costs, and privacy risks.
Product metrics: Marvis launched on May 20, surpassing 300,000 DAU within 2 days, with a 7-day retention rate of about 54%. Current primary use cases include local file processing, PC/hardware management, browser tasks, and app operations, with search accounting for about 6%.
Monetization: Marvis currently relies on free Token trials, with future plans targeting enterprise partnerships, paid Skills, developer revenue sharing, and a "talent marketplace"; the overseas market is also viewed as a key growth driver.
The other product line, Tuya, targets developers and users with customization needs, aiming to rapidly generate apps via natural language while integrating payment, ads, sharing, publishing, and distribution capabilities, even exploring the generation of WeChat Mini Programs.
